Perpetual evolution
It's is often about what is implied, not necessarily literal. That is the evolution. The contrast of the organic and inorganic materials complimenting each other. The supposed completion of a line to it's seemingly proper place. It allows for the viewer, or wearer to complete the thought themselves. I always say in response to a comment of what someone sees in the work, that it is subject to perspective. The work does not end with my interpretation, it begins there. I remain intrigued by the continuation of growth in the observers eye, allowing it to be whatever you see. Which also may change from time to time, as our perspective often does.

The beginning
Well, step one to exposure. It's time to get seen. So heres the first blip on the radar. Starting with some silver and shell pieces conceived of first while traveling in New Zealand in feb 2008. They are ever evolving, as am I. Inspiration from coral, lava, and molten metal, appearing to almost just melt over the shell. Aiming to cover as little shell as possible while keeping it harnessed with in its matrix, and held together with silver rivets.
